MOM's & Adopt-A-Road MOM's & Howard County Adopt-A-Road Our Jessup location has joined forces with Howard County Department of Public Works to adopt a stretch of Rt. 175, not far from the store. MOM's & Frederick County Adopt-A-Road Soon after opening MOM's 5th location in Frederick MD, MOM‘s began working with Frederick County‘s local Adopt-A-Road program to keep a section of Crestwood Blvd clean and litter-free. Four times a year, store employees will gather their gloves, trash bags and bright orange safety vests and head outside to clear debris and litter from the road, sidewalk and median on nearby Crestwood Blvd. For more information about Frederick County‘s Adopt-A-Road program, contact the Office of Highway Operations at (301) 600-1564 or email OfficeofHighwayOperations@fredco-md.net MOM's & the City of Alexandria Adopt-A-Block MOM's Alexandria store caught the spirit of community service by joining forces with the City of Alexandria's "Adopt-A-Block" program, taking on a five block segment of Mount Vernon Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia. The program, established in 2003, promotes partnership between the City government and residents to maintain litter-free neighborhoods and streets. The City’s Adopt-A-Block program is modeled after the Virginia Adopt-A-Block Highway Program, introduced in 1988 by the Virginia Department of Transportation to “Keep Virginia Beautiful”. MOM's & Prince George's County Adopt-A-Road The Department of Public Works and Transportation‘s (DPW&T) Adopt-A-Road/Median Program is the ticket to a citizens participation in a cleaner, neater community. Businesses, individuals, and school program participants gain a sense of achievement and a sense of pride in their community by volunteering to aid in its upkeep. Since 2004, MOM's has participated in Prince George's County Adopt-A-Road program by reducing litter along a section of Rhode Island Avenue in College Park, Maryland. MOM's & Montgomery County Adopt-A-Road The Adopt-A-Road program began in 1983 as part of the Keep Montgomery County Beautiful initiative. By participating in Montgomery County‘s Adopt-A-Road program, MOM's employees reduce litter along a section of Randolph Road in Rockville, Maryland, thus helping to maintain a cleaner environment.
