MOM's & Adopt-A-Road
MOM's & Howard County Adopt-A-Road
Our Jessup location has joined forces with Howard County Department of Public Works to adopt a stretch of Rt. 175, not far from the store. This brings our total number of roads adopted to 5, or one per store. For more information on Howard County‘s Adopt-A-Road program, contact the Department of Public Works at 410-313-7472.
MOM's & Frederick County Adopt-A-Road
Soon after opening MOM's 5th location in Frederick MD, MOM‘s began working with Frederick County‘s local Adopt-A-Road program to keep a section of Crestwood Blvd clean and litter-free. Four times a year, store employees will gather their gloves, trash bags and bright orange safety vests and head outside to clear debris and litter from the road, sidewalk and median on nearby Crestwood Blvd. For more information about Frederick County‘s Adopt-A-Road program, contact the Office of Highway Operations at (301) 600-1564 or email OfficeofHighwayOperations@fredco-md.net
MOM's & the City of Alexandria Adopt-A-Block
MOM's Alexandria store caught the spirit of community service by joining forces with the City of Alexandria's "Adopt-A-Block" program, taking on a five block segment of Mount Vernon Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia. The program, established in 2003, promotes partnership between the City government and residents to maintain litter-free neighborhoods and streets. The City’s Adopt-A-Block program is modeled after the Virginia Adopt-A-Block Highway Program, introduced in 1988 by the Virginia Department of Transportation to “Keep Virginia Beautiful”.
