Recycle at MOM's
MOM's accepts many common household items to be recycled, including used fluorescent light bulbs, ink cartridges, and plastic bottle tops.
Why are we saving these items from the trash? Because most of these things can be re-used or recycled, yet often they are not picked up by residential recycling services. Other items, such as fluorescent bulbs, batteries and cell phones, are known to contain acids and heavy metals (including mercury). If they are sent to the landfill, these toxins can leak into the surrounding environment and cause damage to humans, wildlife, and the Earth.
MOM's works with organizations nationwide to ensure these items are processed with minimal environmental impact, or reused whenever possible.
Thank you for helping us live MOM's mission:
"To Protect and Restore the Environment."
